Un homenaje a una de las voces eternas de la salsa
El 20 de septiembre a las 21:30 (21:00 puertas), Caribe Café llega a Café Berlín con Héctor Lavoe Vive, una noche dedicada a celebrar el legado de una de las voces fundamentales de la historia de la salsa.
Héctor Lavoe convirtió su manera de cantar en un lenguaje propio. Su fraseo, su sentido del ritmo y una forma inconfundible de contar la vida a través de cada canción hicieron de él una figura esencial de la salsa neoyorquina y de aquella generación de músicos que, alrededor de Fania, transformó para siempre la música latina.
Dirigido por el pianista italo-venezolano Silvano Pagliuca-Mena y con Jorge “Sarará” Rosales a la voz, Caribe Café recupera el pulso de la gran salsa de los años 70 con una formación integrada por músicos de la escena madrileña. Arreglos sólidos, una poderosa sección rítmica y un directo concebido para que la música no se quede únicamente sobre el escenario.
Héctor Lavoe Vive propone un recorrido por el universo musical que el cantante puertorriqueño ayudó a convertir en leyenda. No se trata de mirar al pasado desde la nostalgia, sino de devolver estas canciones al lugar al que pertenecen: el presente, el escenario y la pista de baile.
Salsa brava, tocada con respeto por la tradición, sabor y la intensidad necesaria para cantar, recordar y, sobre todo, bailar.

A tribute to one of salsa’s eternal voices
On September 20 at 9:30 PM (9:00 PM doors), Caribe Café comes to Café Berlín with Héctor Lavoe Vive, a special night celebrating the legacy of one of the defining voices in the history of salsa.
Héctor Lavoe turned his way of singing into a language of its own. His phrasing, rhythmic instinct and unmistakable ability to tell stories through song made him an essential figure in New York salsa and part of the generation of musicians surrounding Fania who forever changed Latin music.
Led by Italian-Venezuelan pianist Silvano Pagliuca-Mena and featuring Jorge “Sarará” Rosales on vocals, Caribe Café brings the spirit of 1970s salsa into the present with a band drawn from Madrid’s music scene. Solid arrangements, a powerful rhythm section and a live performance designed to take the music beyond the stage and straight onto the dance floor.
Héctor Lavoe Vive journeys through the musical world that the Puerto Rican singer helped turn into legend. Rather than approaching these songs through nostalgia, Caribe Café brings them back to where they belong: the present, the stage and the dance floor.
Salsa brava, played with respect for tradition, plenty of sabor and all the intensity needed to sing, remember and, above all, dance.
